With a heavy heart, we regret to inform the Sangat that Harpal
Singh passed away in the early hours of Oct 6th.
Despite all efforts by the doctors, and generous donations by the
sangat for the patient's treatment, Harpal Singh could not be
saved. Harpal Singh was admitted to Hospital for operation, but
the same was delayed due to low blood count. More than 15 units of
blood plasma were given to him but there was no improvement.
Harpal Singh is survived by his wife, two daughters and two sons.
Cremation ceremony took place at noon the same day. The funeral
pyre was lit by his elder son, who is only 6 yrs old.

Harpal Singh was admitted to the PGI hospital on Sept 24th for the surgery (for the second time, the first time on Sept 10th, he was discharged because they had another emergency patient). Everything was ready, the whole supplies for the surgery had been bought. But before operating, they found out that he had a very low blood cell count, so had to be given blood transfusions. Next day Harpal Singh was taken to the Surgery room but had to be wheeled back again as his health was not found fit for the surgery to take place, and was recommended more blood transfusions. Today, his health condition is reported to be serious.
